Bonita Y. McCoy hails from the Great State of Alabama where she
lives on a five-acre farm with two dogs, three cows, and one husband
who she’s had since circa 1989.
She is a mother to three grown sons who have all flown the coop and one daughter-in-law who joined us from Japan.
Her background includes a degree in Journalism from Mississippi
State University as well as ten years teaching high school literature and
writing classes to some of the best students, ever. She also served for twelve
years as the Research Paper Coordinator for Life Christian Academy.
Her publishing adventure started at the ripe old age of thirteen
when she worked for two years as a staff reporter for her school newspaper, The
Bearcat Chatter. Her senior year she worked on the School Yearbook as Junior
Section Editor and did ad layouts for The Gulfport Star, a local newspaper.
More recent adventures include publishing her cozy mystery series
through Winged Publications and being a finalist in the Selah awards with the
devotional book Coffee and Cookies with God along with the other members of her
Word Weavers group.
She loves God, and she loves to write. Her articles, devotions,
and novels are an expression of both these passions.
On any given day, you can find her walking her dogs, reading a
sweet romance or a cozy mystery, or having coffee time with her hubby on their
front porch swing.
She is an active member of both American Christian Fiction Writers and
Word Weavers International.
